During an online voting session and a two-day Jury meeting, the Jury decides which entries are shortlisted, and who the recipients of the European Excellence Awards are. The Jury evaluates the innovation, implementation, strategy and impact of the projects submitted, to award the best in European communications and PR.

Edna Ayme-Yahil is Head of Communications for EIT Digital, the leading European digital innovation and entrepreneurial education organisation driving Europe’s digital transformation. She has developed and delivered top-quality integrated communications strategies in large global companies and public organizations. Previously, she has held various global communications roles at Nissan, STMicroelectronics, Philip Morris International and UNESCO and was a consultant for the OECD. She has also taught communications and history at UCLA, University of Arkansas, University of Paris, and Washington State University. She is currently serving as the Regional Lead France for the European Association of Communications Directors. She graduated from Stanford University, studied at the École normale supérieure, and holds a doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). A dual UK/USA national, Edna lives in France with her French husband and one daughter.

Pascal Beucler joined a subsidiary of Publicis Consultants in 1987, and was promoted to a partner in 1994. He became Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer of the MSL Group in 2010, under whose umbrella Publicis now falls. He is an Associate Professor at CELSA (Paris IV Sorbonne) and a Visiting Professor at HEC (French Business College). He has conducted research and published articles on various topics, and in particular on the relationship between text and images.

Robin Boon

Robin Boon, with over 15 years of experience in communications was appointed head of corporate communications at AEGON N.V. in June 2013. Prior to joining AEGON N.V., he was responsible for TNT’s corporate relations from April 2008 until 2011 and thereafter worked as group director of corporate communications at PostNL, which emerged from TNT. In 2004 he was promoted from leading the press department to head of group communications at ABN Amro, where he started to work in 2001.

Pierre Goad

Pierre Goad was appointed a Group Managing Director of HSBC Holdings plc in August 2015. Prior to his current role, he served as Group Head of Human Resources and as Group Head of Communications. He was appointed a Group General Manager in 2014. He rejoined HSBC in 2011 from Zurich Insurance Group, where he was Global Head of Corporate Communications.Mr Goad has extensive international experience. He first joined HSBC in 2001 and held a number of strategy and communication roles in London and Hong Kong.  Before joining the bank he was a correspondent and editor at the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., The Wall Street Journal in Canada, and The Asian Wall Street Journal in Hong Kong and Singapore. Núria Vilanova Giralt

Núria Vilanova is the founder and chairman of ATREVIA, the largest Communication Consultancy in Spain, with a presence in 11 countries  and president of the Iberian Chapter of the Latin American Business Council (CEAL), among other organizations. ATREVIA is the new brand of Inforpress, a communications consultancy company with more than 25 years of experience on its sector with. She is a board member of the Círculo de Empresarios and secretary of the board at the Fundación España-Colombia.  In her role as President of CEAL Ibérico (The Iberian Chapter of the Business Council of Latin America), promotes relationships between the leaders of the largest Ibero-American companies, with the aim of positioning Spain as a platform for their internationalization. Previously he had been a Member of the Management Board of Adam Opel AG responsible for communications of the tradition-rich Opel and Vauxhall brands since February 1, 2012.Willems has a long track record at Opel and GM. In 1992, he began his career at Opel Belgium in Antwerp. From February 2005 to November 2007 he was in charge of product and brand communications of Opel/Vauxhall and GM Europe. Willems was then summoned to GM’s headquarters in Detroit, where he assumed the role of Director Global Environmental and Advanced Propulsion Communications. He then moved to GM’s International Operations offices in Shanghai, China, where he held the position of Vice President Communications.Born on April 9, 1960, Johan Willems is a Belgian national. Apart from his Dutch mother tongue, he also speaks French, German and English fluently. Willems began his career as an automotive journalist.

Andres heads up the LEWIS operations in all offices in the EMEA (European Continent, UK and Middle East) and APAC regions, and handles partnerships with other agencies in Africa and Latin America. Andres is also Head of the Partner Group at LEWIS. He joined LEWIS in 1997, and subsequently founded the German subsidiary, LEWIS Communications GmbH, in Munich. Andres headed this office until January 2003 when he started increasing his international remit at LEWIS. Before joining the agency, Andres was a journalist writing for titles like DIE WELT, F.A.Z. and STERN before working as an account manager at EDITOR Consulting & Communication (today part of A&B ONE), a Munich-based high-tech PR agency for consumer and corporate accounts. His work includes leading campaigns for companies like DER Touristik, Logitech, NEC,  salesforce.com, Siemens, Texas Instruments and Toshiba.

Caroline Wunnerlich is Executive Vice-President & Senior Partner, Regional Director for FleishmanHillard EMEA and Managing Director of FleishmanHillard Brussels.   She serves on the EMEA Operations Committee of FleishmanHillard and is Co-Chair of the Global Public Affairs practice group.Since joining in 1992 Caroline has been instrumental in the rapid growth of FleishmanHillard’s Brussels office, advising clients across a range of sectors on representing their interests at EU level.In addition to her responsibilities at FleishmanHillard, she is also a former lecturer in public affairs at the Management Centre Europe in Brussels; former Council Member for Belgium of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA); and a Member of the American European Community Association (AECA).  From 2010-2015 she served as Vice Chair on the Management Committee of EPACA (European Public Affairs Consultancies’ Association).
