During an online voting session and a two-day Jury meeting, the Jury decides which entries are shortlisted, and who the recipients of the European Excellence Awards are. The Jury evaluates the innovation, implementation, strategy and impact of the projects submitted, to award the best in European communications and PR.
He founded IPG agency Creation in 2011 and served as global president, before teaming up with Current to form Current Global in 2018. George is joint CEO of Current Global.
Outside of work he’s often found in his vegetable patch or brewing beer. He’s also a film fanatic, collects original cinema posters and has a cat called Butch Cassidy and a dog called Sundance. George also serves as a trustee for the UK charity Gingerbread.

Rose grew up in the UK, moved to Spain and opened the first then Shandwick office in Madrid and as Managing Director headed up the operation, supervised client service and led new business efforts.
Rose has a BA (Hons) Degree and an MA in Sociolinguistics and Communications from the University of Liverpool. She has undertaken vocational courses in marketing and Business Administration in Madrid as part of her continued professional development. She sits on advisory boards for the Instituto de Empresa Business School and the European University of Madrid (Laureate).
Rose is actively involved in a number of strategic projects with the awards industries. She has been a Cannes juror, a Sabre juror has been on the European Excellence Awards jury for 10 years. She acted as Jury President for the El Sol Latin American Festival of Creativity in the PR Category and this year is a juror for the Latin American Sabre Awards.
Rose is a mother tongue English speaker and also speaks Spanish, Catalan, French and Portuguese.
She also has broader integrated brand campaign experience across travel, gaming, automotive and utility sectors for clients such as EDF Energy, Adobe, Activision, Stubhub, The Trainline and Emirates.
She is a specialist in consumer consultancy with experience of B2B, tech, CSR, corporate and crisis and issues across both UK and EMEA and global accounts.
Andi previously led the consumer practice at Red Consultancy where she ran the Samsung account for five years in which time they won a Gold Cannes Lions and delivered the brands most successful Olympic activation to date at London 2012.

James has been providing communications consultancy to a wide range of clients across the IT, telecoms, B2B and professional services sectors for more than 20 years. His client experience includes AMD, Autodesk, Autonomy, British Telecom, Dell, Ericsson Mobile Communications, Honeywell, LG Electronics, Microsoft, Salesforce.com, Siemens, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Vodafone and Xerox. He has spearheaded the consultancy’s unique ‘Totally Transparent’ and ‘360 Framework’ market propositions, leading to outstanding client retention and prospect conversion rates. This has helped Whiteoaks become one of the UK’s leading B2B and technology PR consultancies and also one of the fastest growing.
James represents Whiteoaks in the WIN PR Group, an international network and partnership of like-minded, owner-managed communications agencies based across the globe, which together provide services in over 70 countries.
James is a member of the Public Relations & Communications Association (PRCA), Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and Institute of Directors (IoD). He is also a Freeman and Liveryman of the City of London, Trustee Board Member of the Charity IT Association (CITA) and has frequently featured in PR Week’s Power Book (the definitive guide to the brightest and most influential PR professionals in Britain) and the Who’s Who of Britain’s Young Entrepreneurs.
Since 2008 Palomäki has managed communications hands-on and given counsel to management on mergers & acquisitions, brand positioning, restructuring, business transformation, reputational challenges and other issues facing the corporation, always focusing on helping management drive successful business.
Under his leadership Wärtsilä overhauled its communications, by taking a stern multi-channel storytelling approach with focus on a robust digital presence. As corporate responsibility and sustainable business were embedded in Wärtsilä’s operations, Palomäki drove the launch of a distinct and clear brand purpose to provide direction to Wärtsilä and its communications to all stakeholders.
Over the years Palomäki has worked actively for developing Corporate Communications as a strategic function, and he was a Board Member of the European Association of Communications between 2010-2018. In Finland he has several times been voted best communication manager by business reporters.
Prior to entering corporate communications Atte Palomäki had a 15-year career in news and business journalism. Working among others for the Finnish News agency, MTV3 news and the business daily Kauppalehti he gained vast experience in both print and broadcast media. He is a graduate in Political Sciences from the Helsinki University.
Sarah has spent all her career in communications and has worked both in the UK and Asia. Her experience spans top corporate entities, leading multi-nationals and global consumer brands. She has worked extensively across brand marketing, crisis and issues management, corporate reputation building and B2B marketing. Her clients have included Nike, Jack Daniels, British Airways, M&S, Economist Intelligence Unit, Carnival Cruises and eBay. Before taking over the UK & European businesses at Grayling, Sarah was the Global Client Relationship Manager at Grayling for PayPal.
Sarah has created global positioning and thought leadership platforms across the world and has also worked at Fleishman Hillard, Edelman and Ruder Finn. Sarah has been a TV presenter and was on the Board at Freud Communications in London.
